Continuing the ‘country-style in an urban setting’ vibe of the interior, the palette for the garden mirrors the extension’s use of warm, earthly tones, mixed in with vibrant pops of colour.

The garden is an all-year round backdrop for this new space and planting is a playful mix of traditional cottage-style flora with a fun and bold insert of large ‘jungle-like’ evergreen foliage.

A place to dine ‘outside’ is viewable from a place to dine ‘inside’ - almost acting as a reflection. A planting bed frames this space and provides the interior with a lush greenscape.

Anna started working on the garden towards the end of our ground floor extension project. The garden was a mud bath from the builders and we had many great plants that were suffering a lot from the works. With very little guidance, Anna completely understood what we were trying to achieve (probably better than we did to be honest), put together various really high quality design and planning documents and talked us through them all. She worked seamlessly with our architects and builders to ensure the designs fitted in with the ongoing building and then oversaw the landscaping. Anna managed to save our existing plants and suggested loads of new great plants that fit well with the design. She then purchased them and planted them for us, even watering them for the two weeks afterwards as we were on holiday.
The garden project was so efficient that it ended up being done long before the extension actually finished. During a very stressful build project, working with Anna on the garden was a picture of calm and a very welcome change!
